Attend AgScape’s 2025 Annual General Meeting

Lianna Manes

(She/Her)

Project Coordinator

I first joined AgScape in 2019 as a Teacher Ambassador, driven by my passion for education, agriculture, and environmental conservation. Since then, I’ve returned to AgScape as a Project Coordinator for the Agri-Careers project, where I am responsible for coordinating and executing AgScape’s participation at various agricultural society fairs and career-related events to spread awareness of agricultural and food careers.

I hold an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) certification with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology, specializing in genetics and behaviour. During my studies at Brock University, I wrote and defended an honours thesis in bacterial genetics, conducted in partnership with Agriculture Canada. I’m also a National Geographic Certified Educator, further fueling my commitment to fostering curiosity in youth and respect for the natural world.

In my spare time, you’ll likely find me hiking or out on an adventure, unwinding with my cat, practicing yoga, or exploring the arts – from music and dance to arts and crafts. I’m thrilled to bring my background and passions to AgScape as we work together to empower the next generation to become the future changemakers of the world
