Ryan Cullen
Agriculture Events Coordinator
I am a passionate grower, educator, and entrepreneur with a rich background in permaculture, forest gardening, market gardening, urban agriculture, and regenerative farming. After earning a degree in psychology, my journey into education and agriculture began in Thailand, where I taught English and explored permaculture projects. After a diploma in horticulture food and farming, I trained at La Ferme Des Quatre Temps in Quebec, under the mentorship of Jean-Martin Fortier – The Market Gardener. Then spent four years managing the urban farm at the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food while teaching in the Horticulture Food and Farming program at Durham College.
Now, I operate City of Greens, a thriving commercial market garden on a 10-acre regenerative homestead in Bowmanville, Ontario, where I am passionate about regenerating landscapes, cultivating resilient communities, and fostering a vibrant local food culture while teaching and training others. As the Agricultural Events Coordinator with Agscape, I am excited to inspire the next generation into careers in agriculture and food.
