Test Your Food & Farming Knowledge – Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Family Pass Giveaway

- Contest Sponsor
The Test Your Food & Farming Knowledge Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Ontario Agri-Food Education Inc., operating as AgScape (“AgScape” or the “Sponsor”), a registered Canadian charity.The Contest is in no way sponsored, administered or managed by the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair unless otherwise stated.
- Contest Period
The Contest begins on September 8, 2026 and closes on October 30, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).Four weekly prize draws will take place during the Contest Period. Entries received during the Contest Period will remain eligible for subsequent weekly draws unless the entrant has already been selected and confirmed as a winner.
- Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Ontario, Canada, who have reached the age of majority in Ontario at the time of entry.Employees, directors and officers of AgScape, as well as members of their immediate families and persons residing in the same household, are not eligible to enter.
For the purposes of these Rules, “immediate family” means a spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they reside in the same household.
- How to Enter
• Visit https://AgScape.ca during the Contest Period.
• Complete AgScape’s Test Your Food & Farming Knowledge quiz.
• Follow the link provided at the completion of the quiz to the official Contest entry form.
• Complete and submit the entry form, including all required information.There is no fee to enter the Contest and no purchase or donation is required. Making a donation to AgScape will not provide an additional Contest entry, improve an entrant’s odds of winning or otherwise affect the Contest.
- Prizes
There are a total of four (4) prizes available to be won.
Each prize consists of Fair admission for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids).
One prize will be awarded through each of the four weekly draws.
The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $90 CAD.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable, substitutable or redeemable for cash, except at the Sponsor’s discretion.
Any costs or expenses associated with attending the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair that are not specifically included with the Family Pass – including transportation, parking, accommodations, food and other personal expenses – are the responsibility of the winner.
Use of the prize is subject to any terms, conditions, restrictions and policies established by the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and/or the issuer of the passes.
- Weekly Draws
Four random draws will be conducted every week starting on October 9, 2026, from eligible entries received during the Contest Period.Entries received after each weekly draw will not be eligible for that week’s draw but will remain eligible for subsequent draws, provided they are received before the final Contest closing deadline.
Eligible entries that are not selected in an earlier weekly draw will remain eligible for subsequent weekly draws.
Once an entrant has been confirmed as a winner, that entrant will no longer be eligible for subsequent draws.
- Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and remaining in the Contest at the time of each applicable weekly draw. - Winner Selection and Notification
For each weekly draw, one potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries for that draw.The selected entrant will be contacted using the email address or other contact information provided on their Contest entry form.
To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must:
• meet all eligibility requirements;
• correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question;
• respond to AgScape’s notification within 10 business days;
• provide any information reasonably required by AgScape to verify eligibility; and
• comply with these Official Contest Rules.If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within the specified period, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to meet the eligibility requirements, declines the prize or otherwise fails to comply with these Rules, the entrant will be disqualified and AgScape may randomly select another eligible entrant.
This process may be repeated until an eligible winner is confirmed.
- Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance.
The skill-testing question will be provided directly to the selected entrant by AgScape as part of the winner verification process.
Correctly answering questions within the Test Your Food & Farming Knowledge quiz itself does not replace this requirement.
- Awarding of Prizes
Once a selected entrant has satisfied all Contest requirements and has been confirmed as a winner, AgScape will arrange for delivery or transfer of the applicable Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Family Pass.AgScape will make reasonable efforts to provide prizes promptly following confirmation of the winner and in sufficient time for their intended use.
- Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected through the Contest will be used by AgScape to administer the Contest, contact selected entrants, verify eligibility and award prizes.AgScape may also use the entrant’s information to provide news, educational information, fundraising communications and other updates in accordance with that consent and applicable Canadian privacy and anti-spam laws.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with AgScape’s privacy practices and applicable laws.
- Donations
AgScape is a registered charity and may provide Contest participants with opportunities to learn more about its charitable work or make a voluntary donation.A donation is not required to enter or win the Contest.
The amount of any donation – or the decision whether to make a donation – will have no impact on an individual’s eligibility, number of entries, odds of winning or ability to receive a prize.
General Conditions
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of AgScape regarding the administration of the Contest.AgScape reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if circumstances beyond its reasonable control interfere with the proper administration, security, integrity or operation of the Contest.
AgScape also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to interfere with the proper operation of the Contest, submits fraudulent entries or otherwise violates these Official Contest Rules.
If an error, technical problem or other circumstance affects the integrity of the Contest or the ability to conduct a particular weekly draw as intended, AgScape will take reasonable steps to address the issue in a fair manner consistent with these Rules and applicable law.
- Technical Issues
AgScape is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or not received because of technical problems, internet or website interruptions, transmission errors or other circumstances beyond AgScape’s reasonable control.
Proof that an entrant attempted to submit an entry does not constitute proof that the entry was received.
Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and its related entities are not responsible for the administration of this Contest or the selection of winners.
All trademarks, names and other intellectual property associated with the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair remain the property of their respective owners.
Applicable Law
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.- Sponsor
