The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) has been a valued supporter of AgScape since our founding 35 years ago, helping us deliver factual, balanced, curriculum-linked agriculture and food education to students across Ontario. OFA recognizes that a strong future for agriculture depends on helping the next generation understand the sector’s importance today.

As the province’s largest general farm organization, the OFA is a strong and trusted voice for Ontario farmers and rural communities. Representing more than 38,000 farm family members across the province, OFA advocates for the issues that matter to farmers, their businesses, and their communities. With 51 county and regional federations and members representing farms of all sizes and types, OFA brings together the diverse voices that make Ontario agriculture such an important part of our economy, communities, and food system.

OFA supports agriculture education because it gives students the opportunity to discover the remarkable diversity of careers in the sector. Through AgScape’s programs, resources, experiential learning, and career exploration opportunities, students can begin to see how their interests and skills could contribute to the future of agriculture and food. Building this awareness at a young age helps strengthen connections between Ontario’s farm communities and the generation that will become tomorrow’s consumers, employees, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and decision-makers.

AgScape is proud to partner with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture to build greater agricultural and food literacy across the province. OFA’s commitment to Ontario’s farmers extends beyond advocating for the needs of today’s farm families. It also works to create the understanding, awareness, and interest needed to keep Ontario agriculture strong for generations to come. Together, OFA and AgScape are helping more young people understand the essential role farmers play in feeding our communities and building a sustainable future for Ontario.
