Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that we were founded on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk, Mississauga and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Today, this area is home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

We have many representatives working across the land now called Ontario, and we acknowledge that there are 46 treaties and other agreements that cover the territory. We are thankful to be able to work and live in these territories. We extend our gratitude to the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples who have cared for these territories since time immemorial and continue contributing to the strength of Ontario and communities across the province.
