Introduction to Biotechnology

Your students will explore and understand the relationship between agriculture and plant breeding, genetically modified organisms and biotechnology. Students will discover the different genetically modified products produced in Canada and why.

Workshop Learning Goals:

  • Learn about the difference between Genetic Engineering, Genetic Modification, GMO’s and Biotechnology
  • Think critically about the impacts that genetic research and related technology can have
  • Explore some of the careers related to biotechnology

Land Acknowledgement
