Virtual Field Trip: Maple Syrup Production

Join us on Wednesday, March 4, at 10:00 a.m. for a free Virtual Field Trip, where K-8 students will tour Backwoods Maple Syrup, a family-run maple syrup producer in Coldwater, Ontario.

During this engaging field trip, your class will:

  • Meet Paul Wolseley, a passionate maple syrup producer, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how maple syrup is made.
  • Explore methods for managing the sugarbush.
  • Discover how sap is collected and transformed into delicious maple syrup.
  • Participate in live discussions and ask questions in real time.


Additionally, all registrants will receive a digital activity kit containing engaging educational materials to enhance the Virtual Field Trip experience.
