“The Science of Food Processing” workshop and supplemental pre and post workshop activities are designed to introduce participants to the various ways in which foods are processed and the role food processing plays in our food system. Participants will learn why we process foods, learn some key methods of food processing and apply their knowledge through discussions, quizzes and games. Most importantly, they will walk away knowing the role food processing plays in their own food journey and how it informs decisions they make about their food.
