AgScape's staff would be happy to provide you with information about our programs and services.
I’m a foodie at heart so my work at AgScape is pure joy! I guide this innovative organization, steering program and resource development and our overall sector niche. Working in education and agriculture is exciting because I can bring a unique perspective from my arts and culture background – I worked as a COO in corporate radio and television, ran a Children’s Museum and created my own consulting company in human resource management. My passions are motorcycling on the open road, dancing up a storm and investing time with world issues. Family is important, with a grown up daughter and raising two teenage stepsons – there’s never a dull moment!
I enjoy the art of gathering and allocating resources in the form of money or other values – like effort or time – to develop and deliver programs and projects. Imagine the AgScape staff and resources are plants – then I’m responsible for finding, counting, sorting, and planting the seeds to help produce the best harvest! This role is a natural fit because of my education and experience working in the charitable sector. When I’m not at work, I am most likely found on the field of play with an avid interest in sports and coaching.
AgScape seems to have brought me full circle … I have worked within the non-profit sector for the better part of my career, playing senior management and development roles within health, environment, the arts and business affairs. My family roots, however (on Mom’s side) was rural Ontario and the farm and it’s a delight to be part of an organization bringing agriculture and agri-food into our schools! Personally, I love to cook and especially bake – and not surprisingly, Christmas is my favorite season (some think that I go overboard with my 16 decorated Christmas trees in the house each year – not sure why!). Extremely proud of my two daughters, one in the film industry and the other a published writer, and I wouldn’t be complete without my wife and best friend – also a writer – with whom I love to foster little babies.

At AgScape, I have the exciting responsibility of continuing to foster our digital presence, and helping to strategize and build our partner community as a small grassroots organization. With my Masters in International Development Studies, in which agriculture plays a significant role, I bring a varied background to my position and social justice plays a significant role in all that I do. Any spare time that I have, I enjoy spending outdoors, taking in some Sci-Fi or travelling the globe.
I manage the Teacher Ambassador Program at AgScape, to bring agri-food education into classrooms free of charge – I look after programming, resources and Teacher Ambassadors! This role has been the perfect opportunity to blend my geography and education degrees with a long standing interest in agriculture. Out of the office you’ll find me working on my Master of Environmental Studies, camping or growing beans!
As Marketing & Communications Manager, I work closely with the team to create effective, targeted strategic content for promotional materials, digital media, website, speaking engagements and media relations, to name a few. I am passionate about developing innovative and creative marketing strategies to achieve objectives and to engage and inspire stakeholders about AgScape's work to bring agriculture education into Ontario classrooms. I bring several years experience marketing the distribution side of the agri-food sector, along with a strong background working in not-for-profit. In my free time, I enjoy creating new memories with my husband and three boys and trying new places to eat with friends and family.
My role as Senior Program & Resource Assistant is integral to the coordination of AgScape’s Teacher Ambassador Program, which sends Ontario Certified Teachers into grade 7 – 12 classrooms to deliver free agri-food lessons. With a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto, I've always had a passion for fostering the learning of food literacy and environmental stewardship. My role with AgScape allows me to continue to be a life-long learner, while also being able to encourage today’s teachers and youth to take active roles in the agri-food sector. My favourite pastimes are hiking, learning French and swimming.

I’m a facilitator, and I bring passion to this role when I interact with everyone at AgScape to solve their administrative problems and support their success. My career journey has led me to manage complex schedules and handle correspondence for land surveyors, sales teams in the aerospace industry, and a popular supermarket chain. I love spending time with my husband and son, especially watching my 8-year-old son grow, learn and discover the world around him.
As Digital Content & Data Administrator, I manage digital content for our website and social media as well as manage our databases for statistical analytics. My hobby turned business of photography kept me busy for years, now I’m happy to navigate back closer to my IT background of programming and database/reporting analysis. Outside of work, I absolutely love spending time with my family and enjoying the many adventures with my husband and daughters.
I began my adventure with AgScape as a Teacher Ambassador; since then I have been presented with many exciting opportunities to develop resources. I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with degrees from Western University, but my agriculture and food knowledge comes from firsthand experience growing up and working on the family cash crop farm. I love being outside working in the fields or in the garden, walking, biking, and when the weather turns colder you can find me at the theater directing or attending musical productions.
