AgScape's staff would be happy to provide you with information about our programs and services.
I enjoy the art of gathering and allocating resources in the form of money or other values – like effort or time – to develop and deliver programs and projects. Imagine the AgScape staff and resources are plants – then I’m responsible for finding, counting, sorting, and planting the seeds to help produce the best harvest! This role is a natural fit because of my education and experience working in the charitable sector. When I’m not at work, I am most likely found on the field of play with an avid interest in sports and coaching.
AgScape seems to have brought me full circle. I have worked within the non-profit sector for the better part of my career in senior management and development roles within health, environment, the arts and business affairs. However, my family roots (on mom’s side) are in rural Ontario and the farm and it’s a delight to be part of an organization bringing agriculture and agri-food into our schools! Personally, I love to cook and especially bake – and not surprisingly, Christmas is my favourite season (some think that I go overboard with my 16 decorated Christmas trees in the house each year – not sure why!). Extremely proud of my two daughters, one in the film industry and the other a published writer, and I wouldn’t be complete without my wife and best friend – also a writer – with whom I love to foster little babies.

At AgScape, I have the exciting responsibility of continuing to foster our digital presence, and helping to strategize and build our partner community as a small grassroots organization. With my Master's in International Development Studies, in which agriculture plays a significant role, I bring a varied background to my position and social justice plays a significant role in all that I do. Any spare time that I have, I enjoy spending outdoors, taking in some Sci-Fi or travelling the globe.
As Marketing & Communications Manager, I work closely with the team to create effective, targeted strategic content for promotional materials, digital media, website, speaking engagements and media relations, to name a few. I am passionate about developing innovative and creative marketing strategies to achieve objectives and to engage and inspire stakeholders about AgScape's work to bring agriculture education into Ontario classrooms. I bring several years experience marketing the distribution side of the agri-food sector, along with a strong background working in not-for-profit. In my free time, I enjoy creating new memories with my husband and three boys and trying new places to eat with friends and family.

My role as Senior Program and Resource Coordinator is integral to the coordination of AgScape’s Teacher Ambassador Program, which sends Ontario Certified Teachers into grade 7 – 12 classrooms to deliver free agri-food lessons. With a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto, I've always had a passion for fostering the learning of food literacy and environmental stewardship. My role with AgScape allows me to continue to be a life-long learner, while also being able to encourage today’s teachers and youth to take active roles in the agri-food sector. My favourite pastimes are hiking, learning French and swimming.
As Digital Content & Data Administrator, I manage digital content for our website and social media as well as manage our databases for statistical analytics. My hobby turned business of photography kept me busy for years, now I’m happy to navigate back closer to my IT background of programming and database/reporting analysis. Outside of work, I absolutely love spending time with my family and enjoying the many adventures with my husband and daughters.
My role as Program & Resource Assistant at AgScape is the perfect opportunity for me to blend my passion for teaching and agriculture. I am responsible for supporting our Teacher Ambassador Program which sends Ontario Certified Teachers into grade 7 – 12 classrooms to deliver free agri-food lessons. I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with degrees from Griffith University (Australia) and Windsor University, but my agriculture knowledge comes from first-hand experience growing up on my family’s cash crop farm.
In addition to growing up on a farm, my husband and I have a dairy farm where we milk 140+ cows. Outside of work, I am the coordinator for the Ridgetown Progressive Agriculture Farm Safety Day alongside my sister. I love spending time with my family, being outside, playing baseball and volleyball as well as travelling.
