UOIT Environmental Education Conference 2018

The Faculty of Education at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology is holding their 3rd annual Environmental Education Conference where teachers can learn tips and strategies for integrating environmental education into your classroom and school.
AgScape will be be hosting a booth at the conference and presenting:
Conventional and Organic Teaching – Bringing Agriculture into the Classroom, a session exploring the ways agriculture and food topics can be used to cover curriculum expectations for a variety of grades and subjects – including environmental studies. Discover why it is important to bring agriculture into any classroom and learn how to get students thinking critically and making informed decisions. Hear about resources and programs available for YOU as well as employment opportunities for graduates! This session is suitable for elementary and secondary teachers with a strong focus on grades 7-12. Topics of discussion will include: climate change, environmental initiatives, sustainability, local/global food and more!
