Learn, connect, understand... Agriculture comes alive!
Agriculture in the Classroom-Canada (AITC) member organizations celebrate Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM) annually in classrooms across the nation each March. Agriculture comes alive in Canadian classrooms as students participate in activities to learn about, connect to and understand this important industry. What is Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month?
In 2012, Agriculture in the Classroom-Canada worked collectively on the initiative to declare one week in early March as Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week. These week-long celebrations were so popular, it has been expanded to a full month! This hands-on program encourages students to learn about and celebrate agriculture through a variety of events and activities.
