The core program at AgScape which helps us achieve our mission is the Teacher Ambassador Program. By sending Teacher Ambassadors into classrooms across Ontario we achieve our mission in three ways:
1. Provide students with accurate, fact based and unbiased information about the agri-food sector
2. Train new teachers on how to teach students about the agri-food sector
3. Supports classroom teachers in addressing agri-food issues
Who are Teacher Ambassadors?
AgScape assembles a team of Teacher Ambassadors, who are:
The Teacher Ambassador Program is for grades 7-12. Teacher Ambassadors teach about a variety of agri-food issues using the lessons in the Teacher Ambassador Library. Teacher Ambassadors are expected to make adjustments to the lessons based on their knowledge of teaching and education but are expected to keep key messaging and content consistent.
