AgScape Hosts Career Competition at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School

On March 7th, AgScape hosted a career competition at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School to officially kick-off our Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month celebrations in Ontario. More than 300 high school students engaged in interactive activities to learn about agriculture careers, which were led by AgScape Teacher Ambassadors and partners from various agri-food organizations.

The activities, including a food processing, food science and soil health station, were  related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and provided an excellent opportunity for students to build knowledge of these subject areas, in addition to learning about agriculture.

The AgScape team had an incredible day with students and educators. We are especially grateful to our station representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the University of Guelph and Dairy Farmers of Ontario for contributing to a successful event!
