Virtual Field Trip: Honeybees
Join us on Thursday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. for a free Virtual Field Trip, where your grades K-8 students will tour Backed by Bees, a unique business dedicated to sustainable beekeeping, honey production, and environmental education.
From the comfort of your classroom, you and your class will:
- Learn how bees collect nectar from flowers, transform it into honey inside the hive, and how beekeepers carefully extract, filter, and bottle it to maintain its natural qualities.
- Discover how Backed by Bees supports pollinator habitats, connects people to their food sources, and promotes sustainability through local production and community engagement.
- Engage in live discussions and ask questions in real-time.
Additionally, all registrants will receive a digital activity kit containing engaging educational materials to enhance the Virtual Field Trip experience.
To register, click the button to create a new AITC account or log in to an existing AITC account.
This event will be streamed to AgScape’s Facebook and YouTube channels. After registration, we will provide you with a detailed reminder on when and how to take part. If you do not receive a reminder from us, please check that you filled out your email correctly, or send an email to Madison.Lammers@AgScape.ca
